Reiki Drumbeat - Reiki Drumming or Healing Drums

I have been a Reiki master since Easter Sunday, 2002. I no longer question messages from my reiki spirit guides. I do what they tell me. My guides told me to study reiki. Then they gave me the knowledge of Reiki Drumbeat treatments during a powerful spiritual experience.

Long before I made any reiki drums, we went to a Holistic Show, where I planned to give reiki drumbeat treatments. I did only two treatments during the 2 day show. However, many people came to our booth wanting to buy the drums I had brought to do the healing treatments. My husband, Chet, remarked “All these people want to buy our drums. We should make drums.”

And so it goes. In addition to Reiki and Reiki Drumbeat classes and treatments, we have been making Reiki healing drums for several years.

Our drums are beings with an energy all their own. No two are alike due to the fact that we hand craft each drum. I personally pick out the wood for the drums, examining each piece closely. Obviously, I want straight lumber. In addition to straight boards, I look for a vibrant energy, sometimes examining dozens of boards until I find one board with very special energy. A trip to the lumberyard can take hours, but the end result is worth it.

I do the woodworking (frames) and, Chet strings the rawhide head over the finished frame.

Part of the healing energy of Reiki Drumbeat drums and great sound come from blessing them and using reiki and other energy in special ways to enhance the drum and its being.

I have a friend, Amanda, who is an artist and paints some of the drums we make. Check out the drum album on this website to see some of our drums.

I have many drums for sale that are not in the drum album section of the website. Please know that I will gladly show you all the drums that I have if you make an appointment with me at my studio in Wind Gap, PA. For those of you who live further away, I will play the drums for you over the telephone. I did this for a buyer in Colorado, and he was able to pick out “his” drum by hearing it played.

And so it goes. You might wonder how a person like me with no woodworking experience manages to make some of the finest drums on the east coast. I can only say that miracles do happen and there are no coincidences.
